Beach to Boulders Day Out
How about a transfer from Paeroa to Bowentown, Waihi Beach, ride to the Flatwhite and enjoy a well-deserved coffee and cake for morning tea? We will then pick you up at a designated time, and transfer you to Waihi via the back roads for a bit of a Tiki Tour.
Drop off can be either at the Railway Station or Poppet Head. Ride the trail to Paeroa via the Gorge. Stopping off for lunch. We suggest The Falls Retreat which has easy access along the trail.
Dickey Flat
Option 1
Walk the Karangahake Gorge. Transfer to Dickey Flat and follow the pipeline trail to the Windows Walk. Complete the loop and exit the tunnel. Return shuttle to destination.
Option 2
Walk-Ride the Karangahake Gorge. Bike from Paeroa to the swing Bridge at Karangahake Reserve. Lock your bikes, walk over the swing bridge and be transferred to Dickey Flat. Follow the pipeline trail to the Windows Walk return to swing bridge collect your bike and ride onto Waihi. Excellent way to experience the beauty of the gorge at all levels.
Alternative transfer option
We drive your car to your starting point and return.
If you don’t want a shuttle, we can drive you to your start point with your bike(s). We will drive back and park your car securely ready for you at the end of your ride.

Riding through the historic and scenic Karangahake Gorge past gold mines and through the 1km long tunnel.
Section D: Paeroa to Te Aroha - 23 kms (2-3 hours)
A leisurely ride through lush farmland under the gaze of Mount Te Aroha (‘the Mountain of Love’)
Section E: Te Aroha to Matamata - 37 kms (2-4 hours)
An unexpected journey past goat, dairy and thoroughbred farms, with views to the Wairere Falls and the Firth Tower to Hobbiton (Matamata)
